Q. What are the school hours?


A. Students meet in the gym each morning until they are dismissed to their classrooms at 8:00am.  If you bring a student in after 8:00, you need to sign them in at the office. School officially dismisses at 3:00pm.

Q. What is the parent pick up policy?

A. To pick your child up during the day go to the office and sign your child out.

To pick your child up at the end of the day enter the school using the door by the cafeteria between 2:30 and 2:45. In the cafeteria there is a sign out sheet, this sheet will be taken to the office at 2:45 and read over the intercom. The students called will come to the cafeteria. Please do not leave the cafeteria.

Students not picked up by 2:45 will go to the gym with the bus students at 3:10. Please sign out your child using the sign out sheet that will be located in the gym.

Q. How can I get involved as a volunteer at HES?

A.  We welcome volunteers at our school!  Please contact Mrs. Snodgrass for more information!

Q. What is the PTO?  How can I join?
 

A. PTO is the Parent / Teacher Organization. You can see all the benefits and information on our HES PTO page.

Q. May I come to the Awards Assemblies that take place during school hours?
 

A. We welcome all parents to attend the Awards Ceremonies/Assemblies that we have.  We  ask that you sign in at the office before going to the gym.

Q. What is the procedure if my child is going to be absent?
 

A. Please be sure to notify your child's teacher beforehand (if it is a scheduled absence), so that they can prepare missed assignment to send home. If it is not a planned absence, please  be sure to send  a note stating the reason your child was absent the next day they return to school.  If possible, please send a note from your child's doctor.
