Q. What are the school hours?
A. Students meet in the gym each morning until they are dismissed to their
classrooms at 8:00am. If you bring a student in after 8:00, you need
to sign them in at the office.
Parents who wish to take their children prior to 2:50pm must sign
them out in the office. For safety reasons, parents are required to get
their children from the gym when picking them up after school. School
officially dismisses at 3:00pm.
Q. How can I get involved as a volunteer at HES?
A. We welcome volunteers at our school! Please contact Mr.
Ezell for more information!
Q. What is the PTO? How can I join?
A. PTO is the Parent / Teacher Organization. You can see all the benefits
and information on our HES PTO page.
Q. May I come to the Awards Assemblies that take place during school
hours?
A. We welcome all parents to attend the Awards Ceremonies / Assemblies that
we have. We ask that you sign in at the office before going to
the gym.
Q. What is the procedure if my child is going to be absent?
A. Please be sure to notify your child's teacher beforehand (if it is a
scheduled absence), so that they can prepare missed assignment to send home.
If it is not a planned absence, please be sure to send a note
stating the reason your child was absent the next day they return to school.
If possible, please send a note from your child's doctor.
