Professional Development Schools Partnership

West Virginia University at Parkersburg

We are pleased to be in a Professional Development Partnership with West Virginia University at Parkersburg.  Through this partnership, many resources are shared between our educational institutions.  We offer opportunities for University preservice teachers to observe and student teach in our classrooms.  The University makes their Center for Teaching Excellence resources available to our teachers.  It also provides professional development opportunities to our school.  Mr. Ezell, Mrs. White, and Mrs. Barker attended Kagan Cooperative Learning training, along with Linda Novak from West Virginia University at Parkersburg, in Orlando, Florida, during the summer of 2007.  Mr. Ezell and Mrs. White also accompanied University faculty and representatives to the Professional Development Schools National Conference in Las Vegas in 2007.  Many of our faculty members participated in Action Based Learning training with Jean Blaydes Madigan in 2007.
