Our Flat Stanley Project
I have found "Flat Stanley" to be
one of the most fun, engaging, and educational projects that I do with my
kindergarten students. We read several of the Flat Stanley Books.
Then students create and send their "Flat Stanley" to a friend or relative in
another state, along with a journal for "him" to keep while on his adventure.
Flat Stanley visits this new place for a couple of weeks and returns with many
things to share with our class.

Grimm, and I developed this 21st Century Learning Skills online instructional
guide for the West Virginia Department of Education. We hope you will
choose to teach it in its entirety. However, it is developed so that you
may use only parts, if you like. You will find prompts, objectives,
