I would like to welcome each of you to my class. I am so excited about our new school year and all of the pretty faces I see each morning. The students are working real hard on reviewing skills already learned and learning new skills. We are working on addition in Math class. The students are doing a fine job. In reading, a strong focus is on fluency and comprehension. I am encouraging the students to practice reading every night. The more they practice, the better they will become. We will be working hard all year to ensure that every student will progress and be ready to enter second grade next school year.
